about

The Intrepid Fishermen of Whitehead Nova Scotia are caught at Sea in a storm that would become known as the Blizzard of 1910. Reuben and Austin Munroe are commemorated today at the Seaman's Memorial in Canso, N.S., a short drive from Whitehead. The song is a tribute to the Whitehead men who "road the storm out for three days and nights"....the urgency and tragedy of the event seem so distant when you visit the peaceful seaside village today.

My Wisconsin "wrecking crew" did an amazing job on this track. Tim McIlree's fiddle paints a seafaring mode over Mike Underwood's beat. engineered by Aaron D

Life is a series of adventures, relationships and experiences that break us down and build us up. My great joy, beyond living it, are these expressions. In the end, it's all a story waiting to be told!
